Provisions for Booster Vaccination for Pregnant Women, Pay Attention to the Terms when Screening

Provisions for booster vaccines for pregnant women can be seen in the screening process before vaccination. Referring to the COVID-19 Vaccination Service Control Card for Advanced Doses/Special Booster for Pregnant Women, the following requirements for booster vaccination may be given to pregnant women:

1. Temperature > 35.7 degrees Celsius, vaccination is postponed until the temperature is normal.

2. If blood pressure > 140/90 mmHg, blood pressure measurement is repeated 5 to 10 minutes later. If it is still high, vaccination is postponed.

3. If the gestational age is less than 13 weeks, the vaccination is postponed.

4. If the mother has complaints and signs of preeclampsia such as swollen feet, headaches, heartburn, and blurred vision, the vaccination is postponed and referred to the hospital.

5. Pregnant women who have comorbidities such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus, asthma, lung disease, HIV, hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism, chronic kidney disease, to liver disease, but under controlled conditions and no acute complications, the vaccine can be given.

6. Pregnant women who suffer from autoimmune diseases such as lupus, but under controlled conditions and there are no acute complications, the vaccine can be given.

7. If pregnant women are receiving treatment for blood clotting disorders, blood disorders, immunodeficiency, and recipients of blood products/transfusions, the vaccination is postponed.

8. If pregnant women are receiving immunosuppressant treatment such as corticosteroids and chemotherapy, the vaccination should be postponed.

9. If a pregnant woman has been confirmed to have COVID-19, the vaccination will be postponed according to the provisions.
