“What is incredible is that the city of Lyon leaves us in the dark. We are faced with politicians who advocate transparency, but who in reality are not clear, who do not respond”. Mrs. L. is 80 years old. With the children of her now deceased sister, she inherited a building built on land belonging to the community, which is not an isolated case (see below).
1,335 million d’euros
More singular, on the other hand, is the situation of uncertainty in which the family now finds itself. The city of Lyon has indeed decided not to renew this lease, which expired on December 31, 2021. It therefore recovers the land, where this building is built, valued at 1.335 million euros. However, the municipality does not offer any compensation, contrary to what is provided for in an article of the Civil Code in the matter. The case will therefore be dealt with in court.
