KPK appoints Regent North Paser Sharpener, Abdul Gafur Mas’ud as a suspect in the bribery case for infrastructure projects and permits. In this case, the KPK confiscated cash worth Rp. 1 billion and a bank account with a balance of Rp. 447 million.
The KPK held a press conference for this case at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (13/1/2022) night. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also exhibited the evidence confiscated during the hand arrest operation (OTT) that had been carried out.
The confiscated money was stored in a black suitcase. The KPK also displayed the money in the Rp 100 thousand denomination.
The evidence on display is also in a paper bag. The paper bag contained a shirt.
Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, said that the KPK secured Rp 1 billion during the OTT. In addition, the KPK has also secured savings books.
“Furthermore, all the parties who were detained along with evidence in the form of cash in the amount of Rp. 1 billion and bank accounts with a balance of Rp. 447 million as well as a number of shopping items were brought to the Merah Putih building for examination and requests for information,” he explained.
In this case, the KPK has named several suspects.

The KPK also detained the suspects for the next 20 days. The detention was carried out to facilitate the investigation.
“For the investigation process, an attempt was made to forcefully detain the suspects for the first 20 days, starting from January 13, 2022 to February 1, 2022 at the KPK Detention Center,” said Alex.
