Due to the national movement calling on teachers to national education to do strike this Thursday, January 13, correlated to the absence of certain school staff impacted by the Covid-19, schools in the city of Millau will close their doors. We take stock.

To protest against the government’s management of the health crisis, many teachers, joined by non-educational staff in schools, are taking to the streets. A rally is planned in Rodez “so as not to disperse the troops between the South – Aveyron and the North-Aveyron”.

Puits-de-Calès School: kindergarten and elementary closed
Jean-Macé/Paul-Bert school group: kindergarten and elementary closed
Jules Ferry School: kindergarten closed

Beauregard School: the school welcomes students
Jean-Henri Fabre School: the school welcomes students
Jules Ferry School: only one elementary class will be open this Thursday. However, the catering service will not be provided.
Eugene-Selles School: the school welcomes students
Sacred Heart Private School: the school welcomes students
The Jules-Ferry school will also welcome children from the schools of the Jean-Macé/Paul-Bert school group and those from the Martel school whose two parents work.
In this same scenario, the Jean-Henri Fabre school will welcome children coming from the Puits-de-Calès school.
No canteen at Aymard college and no boarding school at Vigo high school
If in colleges and high schools, teachers are not required to inform their management of their intention to strike, some establishments are already preparing for a strong mobilization.
Thereby, Marcel-Aymard public college will not be able to provide the canteen on Thursday noon and the boarding school Jean Vigo high school will be closed Wednesday evening. “Students will have to go home on Wednesday evening for a reopening scheduled for Thursday at the end of the day”, specifies Sylvie Pierrot, the director.
