The Ventspils concert will feature songs by Mikhail Kuzmin and Semyon Hanin, music from the director’s productions and other works.
Vladislav Nastavshev was born in Riga. He received his first musical education at the Pāvuls Jurjānis Music School, where he studied violin and piano. Attended private lessons with theater teacher Lidija Stiebra. He studied acting in the acting department of the St. Petersburg State Theater Institute under the direction of director Lev Dodin. He studied directing at the London School of Theater Arts.
“Ma” is a cycle of contemporary car music, in which foreign and Latvian musicians and composers of various genres visit Ventspils. Until now, the concerts have been given by Czech violinist Iva Bittová, Australian percussionist Jim White, Greek percussionist George Xylouris or duo “Xylouris White”, pianist and composer Luke Howard pianist Nik Baertsch, cellist Clarice Jensen and wind instrumentalist Lea Bertucci from the USA, Daniel Brandt with Eternal Something from Germany, cellist and sound artist Oliver Coates ) from Great Britain, percussionist and sound artist, New Yorker Eli Keszler, German cellist Anne Müller, and Finnish speaker Tatu Rönkkö.
