JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The victims urged the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to bring the case of losses caused by the unit link insurance products of the companies AXA Mandiri, AIA and Prudential to investigation.

This is to sue for compensation for consumer rights to the Financial Services Providers (PUJK) in court.

The insistence came after the victims had another meeting with representatives of the three insurance companies facilitated by the OJK at the OJK Wisma Mulya II office, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/1/2022).

The Coordinator of the AXA, AIA and Prudential Insurance Victims Community, Maria Trihartati explained the reason for the OJK to encourage the case to be brought to the investigation division to claim compensation for consumer rights because the agency does not only function as a mediator.

However, it has firm authority in carrying out legal defenses to protect customers or consumers from losses caused by unit link products from the three insurance companies.

According to him, in the meeting there is no need for a debate about the policy, but only to discuss all the reports that have been submitted.

However, the meeting was deadlocked, and OJK did not show its side in helping and protecting the people who were victims of unit link products.

Dozens of people from the Insurance Victims Community spent the night at the OJK office, as a form of protest. However, at around 22.00 WIB, the victims were facilitated to leave the Wisma Mulia Building.
