On all three islands, Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire, the number of new infections is falling, but hospital admissions are rising as a result of Covid-19.

Curaçao had 407 people tested positive yesterday. The limit of 9,000 infections was therefore passed. One patient in the CMC died. Five new covid-19 patients were added, so that 31 people have now been admitted, eight of whom are in intensive care.

Aruba counted 499 new cases yesterday. The number of active infections is now more than 3,500. While there were still fourteen patients in hospital on Sunday, that number rose to 29 yesterday.

Finally, there were 87 new infections on Bonaire. That number has fallen below 100 for the first time since January 3. The number of active cases fell to 824. One patient did, however, die from the effects of Covid-19.
