JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron said his party received and followed up on every incoming report regardless of who the reporter and the reported party were.
“KPK will accept reports and complaints from the public from anyone. Whether the reporter is anyone and the reported person is anyone,” said Ghufron at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/1/2022), as quoted from Between.
Ghufron responded to a report submitted by a lecturer at the Jakarta State University (UNJ), Ubedilah Badrun, on Monday (10/1/2022) against Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep, two sons of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The report relates to allegations of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) in their business relationship with a business group suspected of being involved in forest fires.

“The KPK will carry out a further review process. So, the KPK does not see whose child it is, it does not see whose father it is,” said Ghufron.
“KPK will follow up according to the procedures for the provisions of laws and regulations and SOPs at the KPK to investigate further,” he said.
The study, said Ghufron, is carried out to determine whether an act is a criminal act of corruption or not.
“From there it is then explained whether it is appropriate to be investigated (investigation) or not after being investigated and then exposed to fingerprints (investigation) or not. New fingerprints go up to prosecution or not, prosecution, trial and so on,” he explained.
