Gamers can look forward to a wealth of new Star Wars games in the near future. Since EA no longer has exclusive rights to video game adaptations of the franchise, several projects have already been announced, from Ubisoft and Quantic Dreams, among others. According to an insider report, a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released this year.

Will Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2022 get a sequel?

According to the Star Wars website Bespin Bulletin, the developers of the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order should aim for a release date at the end of 2022 – even if the chances of this are unfortunately not too high. The game release could be postponed by a few months if necessary and take place in 2023. In May 2022, however, the first material on the game should most likely be seen. This could either happen on Star Wars Day, May 4th, or during the Star Wars Celebration event, which runs from May 26th to May 29th will be held.

Star Wars Games: The future looks bright

The Fallen Order successor could possibly appear in 2022 or, with a little delay, in 2023, but Star Wars fans can look forward to numerous different projects in the future. The first teaser trailer for the Quantic Dreams game Star Wars: Eclipse caused a sensation at the Game Awards 2021 and Ubisoft’s open world game in the Star Wars universe is also eagerly awaited – and there is also a remake for the classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

It remains to be seen which of the four games will hit the right nerve with fans. With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA was at least able to deliver a single-player adventure that left a positive impression on players and critics.
