APPLE first launched a special edition iPhone or SE in March 2016. This first generation of iPhone SE features the iPhone 5S design that has been released since 2013, the iPhone SE is aimed at people who are looking for smartphone Apple manufactures at affordable prices.
Page XDA–Developers launching on Monday (10/1), four years after the iPhone SE, the tech giant released the second generation iPhone SE which has a shape like the iPhone 8. This second generation iPhone SE remains one of the best iPhones to buy today.
But if you’re not in a hurry, it’s a good idea to hold back before buying a second-generation iPhone SE, as there are rumors that a third-generation iPhone SE could be announced this spring. As reported MacRumors, bulletin Power On by Mark Gurman mentions that the iPhone SE 3rd Gen could be announced in March or April 2022.

The phone is expected to retain the same iPhone 8 design but feature newer components and technology. If the rumors are true, this iPhone will be the first SE model to support 5G networks. Reportedly this third generation iPhone SE may be powered by the Apple A15 Bionic chip, which is used in the iPhone 13 lineup.
Apple is currently selling the second-generation iPhone SE for $399 in the US. While in Indonesia it is sold for Rp. 6.5 million (via ibox.co.id). It’s still unclear how much the upcoming third generation will cost.

However, it’s safe to assume that it will stay in a not much different price range, considering it’s an affordable phone option from Apple. And like the second generation, it is expected to feature the same 4.7-inch LCD screen, Touch ID home button, thick bezels, and a 12MP rear camera.
In addition to the iPhone SE 3rd Gen, during its virtual event in the spring, Apple may also announce a new 27-inch iMac and a high-end Mac Mini powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.
