The fifteen men and boys who were arrested in Dinteloord on New Year’s Eve for throwing heavy fireworks at enforcers have been released. However, the stocking is not over yet. The police are continuing the investigation, writes mayor Ruud van den Belt of the municipality of Steenbergen.
Two of the enforcers may have suffered permanent hearing damage when explosives were thrown under their cars, the letter also says. “The police unit that subsequently arrived to intervene was also pelted with heavy fireworks. According to the police, there are now new images showing a few things,” said Mayor Van den Belt.
