TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Apple rumored to be carrying periscope camera technology, to iPhone 15 which is planned for release in 2023.
Quoting from the Tom’s Guide website page on Monday (10/1/2022), a technology analyst named Jeff Pu predicts that: iPhone 15 will come with a periscope lens capable of 10x optical zoom.
Rumors regarding this periscope lens were predicted by Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo. If the iPhone 15 uses a periscope lens, this is certainly not the first time in the technology industry, especially smartphones.

About the periscope lens on smartphone, Samsung has already applied it to the Galaxy S21 Ultra series. Then the Huawei P40 Pro Plus also uses a periscope lens.
The periscope lens itself is designed to stack the glass horizontally rather than vertically. With a tilting mirror, this system can cram in additional zoom lenses without increasing the thickness of the phone because the glass is arranged vertically.
In addition to embedding a periscope lens for iPhone 15, Apple also rumored to be eliminating the notch design on the screen and replacing it with a punch hole design.
Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that the series smartphone It will carry a punch hole design on the screen. According to Kuo, Apple will no longer use the notch design on the screen and will replace it with a punch hole screen.
With this new design, of course the screen iPhone 14 will be wider. The punch hole design itself has been used by many Android devices in recent years.
Kuo also revealed that at least the highest variant of the iPhone model will have a punch-hole design and if the results are accepted it is likely that all future iPhone models will be designed with a punch-hole.
