Full-fledged display of Karl-Anthony Towns at the Rockets-Timberwolves. The Dominican player offered his best offensive performance of the current season in Minnesota’s 123-141 victory at Houston, a victory from the attack that places the team at 20-20.
Towns was huge. He scored 22 points in the first half (54-75 for the Wolves) and finished the game with 40 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 15 of 25 from the field goal, 4 of 6 from the triple and +27 from his team with him on the court.
Towns was the leading scorer of the entire Sunday NBA game. His season continues from strength to strength, with averages of 24.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 33 games and with luxury shooting percentages: 51.4% in the field, 42.5 in triples and 82, 4 in free. Direct way to the All-Star.
The game was broken by Minnesota in the first half, with Towns and D’Angelo Russell making a break to the non-existent home defense.
It was a meeting without history, with Russell (22 points and 10 assists), a tremendous Jarred Vanderbilt (21 points, 19 rebounds and 10 of 14 on the field goal) and Anthony Edwards (19 points) seconding Towns.
Timberwolves was over 50% effective throwing 108 shots from the field, prevailing on the rebound capturing 18 offenses and giving 37 assists losing just 11 balls.
Houston, an aimless team. Well, heading straight for the draft. Christia Wood was his top scorer with 22 points and Josh Christopher made 19.
