At 23:30, the South-East police district was notified that a traffic accident had occurred on Voldsvegen in Skien. A lone car drove into a rock wall.
The police in the South-East first informed that one person was treated by ambulance personnel on the spot. It was later reported that the person in question, the driver of the car, was taken to hospital as a result of the incident.
The driver is a man in his 50s.
– The person in question is not perceived as life-threateningly injured, says Øystein Eikedalen, operations manager at the South-East police district, to TV 2.
The police inform that the accident happened in a sharp turn.
– The police are investigating the incident, securing the accident site and assisting the tow truck, the South-East police district writes on Twitter.
