American actor Alec Baldwin has denied accusations that he allegedly did not comply with the requirements of the investigation into the murder in the filming of “Rust” in October 2021, he said on Instagram.
“Any suggestion that I am not following requests, orders, investigation requirements or a search warrant is complete nonsense,” the actor said.
According to Baldwin, the investigation is a process in which law enforcement agencies must make a request to the state in which he lives. Then they will have access to the data on his phone, adds Nova TV.
The actor added that police officers could not enter the phone and take personal photos. Baldwin recalled that he was fully prepared to cooperate with the investigation.
According to him, the best way to honor the memory of the deceased Galina Hutchins is to understand the whole truth about what happened.
On October 22, during the filming of one of the scenes of the western, Baldwin fired a pistol, which was supposed to be loaded with blank cartridges, but they turned out to be combat.
As a result, cinematographer Galina Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was injured. The actor later said he did not pull the trigger on the gun.
