“Findings of four cases in Kampung Lor Jurang twice. One case each in Kampung Driyan and Surodadi. The case in Kampung Driyan is unnecessary fogging because the residents have carried out the eradication of mosquito nests (PSN) in mutual cooperation,” explained Aziz, yesterday (9/1).

Related to active fogging in the villages of Lor Jurang and Siswodipuran, because the PSN conducted by residents together with puskesmas officers was considered not optimal. After done fogging, the community is back to implementing PSN independently.

“Actually, routine PSN is more optimal to deal with mosquitoes that cause DHF. Because mosquito larvae and eggs can be eradicated. If fogging It only kills adult mosquitoes. If there are larvae, they can still live. We hope that there will be public awareness to carry out independent PSN,” he asked.

Currently, there are 30 PSN volunteer members in each village and sub-district in the City of Susu. Among them are in Siswodipuran Village, Boyolali City District; Banyuanyar, Ampel; Sobokerto, Ngemplak; Karangmojo and Sumberagung, Klego; and Singosari, Mojosongo. When a case of DHF is found, the volunteer must report it for further treatment.

“If there is a case finding, the volunteer immediately submits a report for further investigation. When it is positive for DHF, if necessary, fogging So we will schedule it as soon as possible,” he added. (rgl/fer/dam)
