The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced the schedule for two friendly matches against Indonesian National team which will be held in Bali.
The BFF held a national board meeting on Saturday (8/1) chaired by Chairman Kazi Nabiil Ahmed. There are two important decisions ahead of the trial against Indonesia.
“Two matches of the Bangladesh national team against the Indonesian national team will be held respectively on January 24 and 27 in Bali, Indonesia,” wrote the BFF on its official website.
“Javier Fermandez Cabrera Marin Penato has been appointed head coach of the Bangladesh National Team,” the BFF said in a statement.
Previously, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi explained that the planned trial match against Brunei Darussalam had to be canceled if Bangladesh officially wanted two test matches.
“So if Bangladesh asks for two games, it means Brunei will not do it. Because the rules for FIFA Matchday are only two matches,” said Yunus Nusi.
FIFA Matchday has a number of advantages for the Indonesian national team. The match on FIFA Matchday will increase Indonesia’s points and be useful for improving the ranking on the FIFA ranking list.
In addition, this FIFA Matchday match can be used to test the ability of a number of players who have entered Shin Tae Yong’s radar of choice to defend the Indonesian national team in the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup.
The AFF U-23 Cup 22 will be held on February 14-16 in Brunei Darussalam. Indonesia is in Group B along with Malaysia, Myanmar and Laos.
