Regent of Lumajang Thoriqul Haq ensured that the police were assisted by volunteers at locations affected by the Semeru eruption, who were looking for the man who kicked the offerings. Who is that man?
“I ask all my friends, both officers and volunteers there to find out where that person is from, or whose identity it is, from which group. in Lumajang, which is currently peaceful,” Thoriq told reporters at the Grahadi Building after the East Java PMII IKA Muswil, Sunday (9/1/2022).
Thoriq said the perpetrators were not from Lumajang. The perpetrator, allegedly a volunteer who went down to the location affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru.
“Not a Lumajang person, I’m sure it’s not a Lumajang person, this person came from outside. Whatever the motive for being a volunteer to Lumajang, of course I am disappointed with that action. Because it violates the values that we live side by side with all religions, all ethnic groups in Lumajang” said Thoriq.
“Moreover, video documents that eliminate religious identity, one of which is a tool to serve as a place of worship, were also destroyed in a bad and bad way (kicking offerings),” said Thoriq.

The 30-second video shows a man wearing a headgear and vest standing and approaching an offering placed on the ground. There are two offerings that can be seen, namely fruit and rice, each of which is in its container.
Pointing to the offering the man said,
“This is what makes Allah angry. It is rarely realized that this is what actually invites Allah’s wrath, until Allah sends down his punishment. Allahu Akbar,” said the man.
A second later, the man’s hand moved to throw away the fruit offering and kicked the rice offering. Incidentally, the location of the offerings was on a higher ground, so the two offerings fell down.
