Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele is said to be stagnating before signing a contract extension under Xavi Hernandez amid Chelsea interest.
The French winger has been linked with a move away from Barcelona due to the club’s financial difficulties.
With Xavi’s side keen to offload players, several Premier League teams have shown interest in Dembele, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
according to Receive French football newsDembele is currently behind on signing a new contract at Barcelona.
The report said the player had previously decided to stay with the Catalan club before talks collapsed amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Newcastle.
It was Gerard Romero who previously said Dembele would not continue at Barcelona with all of the above clubs under contract with the player’s agent, Moussa Sissoko.
Negotiations between the player and the club seem to be going well before Sissoko starts causing problems with his salary.

Sissoko asked for a total salary of 40 million euros plus 40 million euros in bonuses for his player.
Manchester United previously linked Dembele in a swap deal which saw Anthony Martial move in the opposite direction.
However, with Chelsea on the hunt for player reinforcements, having recently suffered several injuries and Covid-19 issues, Dembele could end up with plenty of playing time in West London.
