The so-called ‘peer assessment’ means that a second instructor from another driving school assesses whether a candidate is good enough to take the exam. It is one of the recommendations of the Roemer Committee to boost quality in the driving school sector. Currently, 50 to 60 percent of the candidates pass the driving test, says spokesperson Irene Heldens of the CBR (Central Bureau for Driving Skills).
