(Elbil24): One by one, the major American car manufacturers withdrew from the European market a few years ago. They made cars with powertrains – and in sizes – that did not fit our markets. This made their cars unsaleable, especially after taxes on six- and eight-cylinder engines were added.
With electrification, there can again be hope, because then it is no longer on the products. They are on an equal footing with European cars when it comes to emissions, and they have a lot of other good things to offer.
There are cars that the models from Tesla and, among other things, the Chevrolet Bolt are good examples of. The latter sold as Opel Ampera-e in Europe.
Big overview: See all the electric car news
For also on the other side of the pond, it is acknowledged that the future is fully electric, and all the major manufacturers are far into the planning for the future.
Now the news and results about future cars are starting to pop out of the hearths, such as the Chrysler Airflow, which is on display during the CES show in Las Vegas these days.
Year 2025
Airflow is a hint of what we can expect from that edge in 2025, and when we say from that edge we mean first and foremost Chrysler, but also the entire Stellantis, of which Chrysler is a part. Stellantis is the new grouping consisting of what was previously the PSA group (including Peugeot, Citroën, DS) and the FCA group (Fiat, Chrysler Automobile). In 2028, they will have a full range of electric cars, the company reports.

That this is a product that will only be launched later, we also see in what Chrysler wants to offer.
Airflow will, among other things, have seal driving using STLA AutoDrive at level 3, something the road authorities have not opened up for on a broad basis. So far, only Mercedes-Benz has been granted permission to launch self-driving at level 3, and then only in some areas in its home country Germany.
