On Tuesday, a 21-year-old man was shot and killed by two individuals in the Saint-Antoine avenue area. The Marseille prosecutor’s office confirms the presence of an accomplice.
Five individuals were taken into police custody after the murder of a young man on Tuesday in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille, the prosecution announced in a statement on Friday.
They will be heard by the criminal brigade for intentional homicide in an organized gang, criminal association and detention, transport of category A and B weapons.
The 21-year-old victim, who had no legal liabilities, was shot dead in the area of avenue Saint-Antoine. She “was ordering flowers to celebrate her engagement”, when two men entered a flower shop and shot the man several times.
Several weapons seized
In its statement, the prosecution confirms the presence of an accomplice, who, behind the wheel of a car, helped the perpetrators of the murder to escape from the scene of the crime.
The three criminals were identified thanks to the surveillance camera network which allowed investigators to find the vehicle and to arrest individuals in Brignoles on Tuesday afternoon.
During searches of their homes, investigators seized several weapons including two shotguns, a submachine gun and a Kalashnikov assault rifle. Micro cameras, cell phones and a bulletproof vest were also found.
