In the lowlands, rain and sleet can be expected on Friday, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD). In higher altitudes it should snow, in the mountains up to five centimeters of fresh snow falls. Especially above 400 meters, it could become slippery due to individual snow showers. The maximum values are around 4 degrees. According to the meteorologist, on the night of Saturday it can be slippery in areas due to freezing wetness. Heavy snowfalls are possible, especially south of the Main, with up to ten centimeters of fresh snow, in places in the Odenwald up to 15 centimeters. Saturday starts changing to heavily cloudy, before sleet or snow comes up again in the west in the afternoon. Strong to stormy gusts are possible in the mountains in the evenings. On Sunday, according to the DWD experts, it will be rainy and heavily cloudy again with highs between 4 and 7 degrees. In the higher mountains it could snow again. © dpa-infocom, dpa: 220107-99-622204 / 2 – – .
