WhatsApp profile photo in notification
For iOS users, WhatsApp is expected to roll out a feature where users can see profile photos in notifications. This feature has already been rolled out to some beta testers on iOS and will also be extended to other users.
Hide last seen status
Currently, users can hide the last seen status of all contacts. In a new feature that may be introduced this year, users can hide their last seen only from certain contacts. If this feature is introduced, WhatsApp users can select the person of their choice to show their last seen status.
Edit WhatsApp
Meta’s messaging app is reportedly planning to change WhatsApp’s editing feature on sharing media. Later users can find out who they are sending media to. Apart from that, this feature also allows users to upload their media to their status updates while sending it to other contacts.
WhatsApp Community
WhatsApp groups are very common for today’s users. Every user joins a group, whether it’s an office or residential group. To enhance this experience, WhatsApp plans to expand a feature that will allow gathering 10 or more groups as part of the wider WhatsApp community. However, this feature is only available to admins who created the group and they can send messages to multiple groups instantly.
Exit options
The logout option is probably the most awaited and requested feature by many users as there is currently no option to log out of their account. Platform Other social media like Facebook and Instagram have the option to log out of their account. It may also come with a multi-device feature that allows the user to log out of the WhatsApp account.
