Euro NCAP has published a list of the safest cars by segment it tested last year.

Euro NCAP again selected the safest cars this year, which it tested last year. It divided the winners by segment, as a five-star compact car may not be as safe as a five-star SUV. It is also worth recalling that it is not very fair to compare car ratings between years, as the requirements are constantly tightening.
When searching for the safest cars in the segments, the organization used the average of the scores achieved by the cars in the traditionally monitored categories, which include adult crew safety, child crew safety, pedestrian safety and the offer of safety assistants.
