“Harry Potter” – Four bugs found

Fans have long looked forward to the “Harry Potter” reunion. On Saturday, “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” premiered on HBO Max.

There, viewers get a reunion with the three actors who became world famous by “Harry Potter”: Daniel Radcliffe (32), Rupert Grint (33) and Emma Watson (31).

The series will naturally reminisce back to the years 2001 to 2011 when the famous and beloved films were shot. This is the first time the actors are reunited since the last film was released in 2011.

Four errors

It’s not just the fact that it will be reminiscent back to the films that has been in focus this week. So far, four embarrassing mistakes from the reunion have emerged, writes Screen Rant.

The first to become known was a blemish there Emma Watson was confused.

The series will use a childhood image showing Emma Watson, known as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” universe. The problem is that it was not a picture of her that was used, but a picture of Emma Roberts, known from, among other things, “The American Horror Story”.

Navneflause

The second error is also about confusion. The films feature Ron’s older twin brothers, Fred and George Weasley, by James and Oliver Phelps. In the reunion, the brothers reminisce back to the movies.

The problem here was that the brothers’ names had been changed the opposite way. James was listed Oliver, and vice versa.

Oliver Phelps pointed out the error in one Instagram-post.

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton took responsibility for the name fluff, and wrote in the comments field with a twinkle in his eye that he was deliberately the man behind it.

This can still be seen as a rather comical mistake, since the brothers Fred and George often joked about being the other in the movies and books, to confuse the people around them and their mother. The advantage they had was that they were identical twins.

The bug should now be fixed in the HBO version.

Forgot an «actor»

Director Mike Newell also made an embarrassing mistake in the series. He said that the book “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” with its 636 pages was the longest of JK Rowling’s books. On the other hand, it is wrong – the longest is “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” with 766 pages.

Over the years, several of the actors from the “Harry Potter” universe have passed away, among others Alan Rickman who played the elixir teacher Severus Snape. He passed away in 2016, aged 69. In the series, the surviving colleagues remind the dead actors.

One actor, on the other hand, does not remember. The German Shepherd Berry was a central part of the “Harry Potter” film “The Prisoner of Azkaban”. He is also not mentioned as one of the actors who has passed away.

Although he was not a human, he was still a central part of the universe.
