Ukraine has additionally installed almost 2,000 coils of barbed wire on the border with Belarus. The State Border Guard Service began to produce them at its enterprise. About this on Wednesday, January 5, stated head of GPSU Sergei Deineko.
He said that the barbed wire workshop is located in the Cherkassk region in the Main Center for the Training of Border Guards.
“There are three lines operating there, which make it possible to produce Egoza-type wire fences and a chain-link mesh,” Deineko noted.
The head of the State Border Guard Service emphasized that the need of the State Border Service for such barriers is quite large.
“So we started making them ourselves,” he explained.
So, from the beginning of the launch of the lines, the border guards have already independently made almost 2,000 coils of barbed wire, which were sent to be installed on the border with Belarus.
“To date, the barriers are already being used in areas that require priority development,” added Deineko.
Earlier it was reported that the migration authorities in 2021 with an application for recognition as a refugee or as a person in need of additional protection, 766 people applied.
