After the death of a student in Leipzig, the rumor spreads on Telegram about a possible further death at the school, which is linked to a corona vaccination. There is no evidence.
The “lateral thinker” scene is taking advantage of the death of a schoolboy in Leipzig on the Telegram platform to raise the mood again against corona vaccinations. At the beginning of the week, according to t-online information, a student at a Leipzig school had died.
On Friday, the news spread on Telegram that another student at the high school had collapsed shortly afterwards in class. On Telegram it is now said that it is completely unclear whether the student also died or just passed out.
The author of the message connects the collapse with a possible corona vaccination. However, there is no evidence for the allegations: the police were initially not aware of the incident at the school, as a police spokesman told t-online. The school did not want to comment on t-online request on Friday.
Post about Leipzig School goes viral
According to rumors, the class in question is said to have planned a trip to the vaccination center on Friday. However, all students would have reported sick. It is possible that they no longer felt like getting vaccinated or were under the impressions of the alleged incident.
The original posting alone saw more than 120,000 people within a few hours. The news was also picked up and spread in other news reports.
Time and again, “lateral thinkers” and other conspiracy believers spread false information on social media. Only had on Thursday Facebook deleted dozens of accounts and groups on its platforms, which the internet company assigns to the controversial lateral thinker movement. The action was directed against “lateral thinkers” on Facebook itself and Instagram. The video platform was already available at the end of May Youtube deleted the channel “lateral thinking 711”.
