What was the best-selling super luxury car in Spain? What were the most expensive cars registered in 2021?What was the most exotic car sold in our market? Come and see …
Ferrari and Bentley, the big winners
We begin this analysis with the two luxury brands that registered the most units in 2021, we are talking about Ferrari and Bentley, both with 60 cars sold throughout the past year. In the case of Ferrari, the 60 units sold are distributed as follows: 17 Roma, 13 F8 Tributo, 10 F8 Spider, 8 SF90 Stradale, 4 Portofino, 4 812 GTS, 2 488 Pista, 1 488 Spider and 1 GTC4Lusso. For Bentley, the distribution of its 60 cars sold was as follows: 29 Continental GT (becoming the best-selling luxury car), 23 Bentayga and 8 Flying Spur.
The following firms to appear already accumulate a much lower number of units sold, although it is also interesting to see how 2021 fared. Aston Martin closed the year with 29 registered units: 14 DBX, 9 Vantage, 3 DBS Superleggera and another 3 DB11. Right behind it appears Lamborghini with 26 cars of which 19 were Urus, 6 Huracán and only 1 Aventador. At the rear appears McLaren with a total of 11 cars divided between 5,600LT, 4 GT and 2 720 S.
The next step would be occupied by brands such as Rolls-Royce with only 3 cars sold in all of 2021: 2 Ghost and 1 Cullinan, Lotus with a total of 3 cars throughout the year: 2 Elise and 1 Exige, or Morgan with 3 other cars: 2 Plus Four and 1 Plus.
Looking beyond these figures focused on the most luxurious and exclusive brands, it is also worth taking a look at other models such as the Porsche 911 that managed to register a total of 303 cars in 2021, standing out well above direct competitors such as the Jaguar. F-Type with 50 cars, the Mercedes-AMG GT with 24 units or the Audi R8 with a total of 12 cars.
The rarest cars sold in 2021
From here we already enter the rarities and exotic cars by price, availability or focus, something that is always a joy to see that in Spain there are real petrolheads willing to get hold of such special cars. First of all, we must highlight the registration of a unit of the Ford GT, a true registrable racing car. In second place we find a whole Donkevort GTO JD70, a most exotic mount only suitable for regulars to Track-Days. And to finish with a unit of the Nissan GT-R, a car that weighs the years, but still today is a true giant killer.
