The Indonesian national team has finished the story of the 2020 AFF Cup. However, the players cannot relax because the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup awaits.

Indonesia ended the 2020 AFF Cup as runners-up because they lost 2-6 on aggregate to Thailand in the final. This failure is expected to be redeemed at the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup which will take place from February 14-26 in Cambodia.
Garuda Muda was tasked with defending the title won in the 2019 edition after beating Thailand 2-1 in the final which also took place in Cambodia.
If you look at the performance in the 2020 AFF Cup, that mission is likely to be realized. The reason is that coach Shin Tae-yong will reportedly use the majority of the players who played in Singapore yesterday.
