JAKARTA, iNews.id – This whole year, at least, there are nine astronomical phenomenon which is worth waiting for sky watchers during 2022. The phenomena are various, ranging from meteor showers, planetary conjunctions, occultations, full moon super, up to moon eclipse total.
From data from the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), nine interesting astronomical phenomena that are worth waiting for include the peak of the Mars-Saturn conjunction. At the beginning of Ramadan 1443 Hijri, Indonesian people will be greeted with the sight of the Mars-Saturn conjunction, on April 5, 2022, to be exact.
In addition, the conjunction of the Saturn-Mars-Venus-Jupiter-Moon quintet on April 24-29 2022, the peak of the Venus-Jupiter conjunction ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri and the occultation of Venus by the Moon on May 27 will occur.
On June 14, 2022, the public will also be able to witness the Super Full Moon, the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower on August 13-14, 2022 and Total lunar eclipse on November 8, 2022 and the Peak of the Geminid Meteor Shower on December 14-15, 2022.
