Infectious explosion in Hallingdal

Hemsedal in particular is affected. The outbreak stems from the New Year’s weekend, and very many of those infected are seasonal workers.

Several companies in the municipality are affected by the fact that many employees are infected or quarantined.

– Nothing indefensible has happened, but people have moved a bit at crossroads. This is a major outbreak, primarily among seasonal workers. We were spared this all last year, says municipal chief Camilla Underland in Hemsedal to Hallingdølen.

– We have not registered that guests are affected by the infection, says Underland.

According to Hallingdølen, almost 80,000 guests celebrated the New Year in the Hallingdal municipalities.
