The surprise of the match day in the Oberliga Nord was not only the home defeat of the Tilburg Trappers in the top game against leaders Saale Bulls Halle, but also the height.
The 5: 1 was the Bulls ‘highest success in the Netherlands and cemented the Bulls’ intentions in first place in the final bill. For the Dutch, it is clear who the main opponent is and that is the Hanover Scorpions, who in turn won in Herford and now took second place, four points behind Halle. The chase duel at the horse tower between the Indians and Leipzig was canceled due to the pandemic and because Hamburg did not play either, the Hernians were able to reduce the gap to the Hanseatic townspeople to three points with their success in Krefeld. There was also a change in eighth place. Erfurt won relatively clearly in Rostock and overtook Herford. However, the Westphalians still have a comfortable lead over Rostock with six points. The residents of the Baltic Sea, on the other hand, have to be careful, because food creeps up from behind, which has recently been quite successful.
Tilburg Trappers – Saale Bulls Hall 1: 5 (0: 1, 1: 1, 0: 3)
The surprise of the game day. In the top game between the two league leaders, the Halle guests ultimately emerged as the clear winner. The reason was that they were able to physically improve in the third period and remained strong defensively. It was also outstanding that despite the importance of the game, the idea of fair play remained and the referees only had to issue two penalties. In the game, which was evenly balanced up to the 42nd minute, the Bulls showed themselves to be much better, especially in the duel between the second rows. While Halle with the line-up Niemelä, Vihavainen, Halbauer, Valasek and Becker got +10 in the plus-minus rating, the Tilburg Verkiel, van Gorp, van Soest, Hofland and Bulmer received -11. The Bulls were also better cast in the duel between the goalkeepers. Jakob Urbisch hexed his team to victory with 96.3 percent, while his opponent Ruud Leeuwesteijn only had a narrow 80.8 percent catch rate.

EG Diez-Limburg – Mosquitoes Essen 1: 6 (0: 2, 1: 2, 0: 2)
The Limburg hosts, who at the moment have to fight hard not only in sport, showed a strong performance in terms of fighting. However, they were missing a player again Enrico Saccomani from Essen. The 26-year-old scored four goals, including two shorthanders, so that he could be celebrated as the match winner after the match. With this four-pack, there are currently 19 goals on his balance sheet, moving him from 29th to 11th on the top scorer list.

Rostock Piranhas – Black Dragons Erfurt 2:5 (0:2, 2:0, 0:3)
In the end, it was a somewhat happy, but well-deserved victory for Erfurt. They started with a 2-0 lead, had to accept the equalizer in the second third and were able to pull the reins again in the last twenty minutes and finally win this third 3-0. Outstanding that evening were the two Erfurt contingent players Kyle Beach and Arnoldas Bosas, who both received three points.

Krefelder EV U23 – Herner EV Miners 1: 5 (0: 3, 1: 1, 0: 1)
A very hard-fought duel that had its match winner in Herne’s keeper Sebastian Wieber. Born in Rosenheim, on loan from the Iserlohner DNL2 team, Björn Linda came after the first third and secured victory with a strong 94.4 percent catch rate. When Wieber came, the Hernians led 3-0 and had the game under control. That changed in the second part of the game. Now the Krefeld came back, besieged the Herne third in places, but the green-white-red defensive bulwark held and in the end the guests had won, but also a little too high. In addition to Wieber, Marcus Marsall, who was again three, shone at Herne Points get as well as the two double goal scorers Alexander Komov and Kevin Orendorz. Valentin Pfeifer scored the goal of honor for Krefeld when he was outnumbered.
Tore: 0: 1 (01:36) Kevin Orendorz (Ackers, Peleikis), 0: 2 (16:41) Alexander Komov (Elten, Ziolkowski), 0: 3 (18:29) Kevin Orendorz (Marsall, Liesegang), 1: 3 (36:21) Valentin Pfeifer (Kolle, Schaaf 4-5), 1: 4 (39:29) Alexander Komov (Marsall, Elten), 1: 5 (51:59) Marcus Marsall (Peleikis, Liesegang)
Herford EV – Hannover Scorpions 4: 6 (2: 2, 1: 2, 1: 2)
In the end the favorite won, but the Herford top trio Elvis Biezaijs, Rustams Begovs and Ralf Rinke couldn’t stop the Mellendorfer either. These three ensured a whopping ten points this time as well, and so Biezaijs and Rinke in particular stayed on their top positions in the scorer list. The best scorer at the Scorpions, which appeared very helpful to the team, was once again Patrick Klöpper. The 27-year-old scored in the third game in a row, scored five goals in these games and showed those responsible for the Scorpions how valuable he is to the team.
Tore: 1:0 (00:29) Rustams Begovs (Rinke, Biezaijs), 2:0 (05:17) Ralf Rinke (Biezaijs, Begovs), 2:1 (05:43) Tyler Gron, 2:2 (13 :15) Thomas Supis (Hammond, Kabitzky 5-3), 2:3 (22:20) Victor Knaub (Kabitzky, Koziol), 2:4 (27:46) Julian Airich (Klöpper, Reiß), 3:4 ( 36:54) Rustams Begovs (Biezaijs, Rinke), 3:5 (49:35) Patrick Klöpper (Airich, Just), 4:5 (50:21) Dennis König (Rinke, Reckers), 4:6 (54: 32) Patrick Klöpper (Supis, Just)
