1. Suspected burglar provisionally arrested – Offenbach
(fg) A suspected burglar was provisionally arrested by officers from the Offenbach police station early Tuesday morning in a larger company building on Siemensstrasse. A witness reported noises from the office building shortly after 3 a.m., which is why several patrols made their way to Siemensstrasse. At around 3.15 a.m., officials temporarily arrested the suspected intruder, who was still in the building. Several laptops were already stowed in a backpack that had apparently been provided. The intruder must have pried open two windows beforehand and used them to get into the interior of the building. Inside, the man was in several rooms, looking for stolen property and causing damage of several thousand euros. When the man was arrested, he presented himself with a vaccination card. Since doubts arose about the personal information in the vaccination card presented, the officers checked the man’s fingerprints. It turned out that it was a 39-year-old man and not the person named on the vaccination card. In addition, the investigations revealed that the 39-year-old was announced for arrest by an arrest warrant. He is currently still in police custody and will then be brought back to an appropriate specialist clinic. Officials from Kommissariat 21 are now investigating suspected burglary.
2. School sprayed with graffiti – Heusenstamm
(aa) Strangers smeared red paint on a school in Leibnizstrasse between Saturday morning (10 a.m.) and Sunday afternoon (4 p.m.). The perpetrators left a total of twelve graffiti with different inscriptions on the windows, the facades of several high school buildings and on two table tennis tables. The damage is estimated at 1,000 euros. The police asks for information on 06104 6908-0.
3. Arrest after a physical confrontation – Langen
(aa) A quarrel between two men on Monday evening in Friedensstrasse ended for a 48-year-old with outpatient treatment in the hospital and for a 39-year-old with a provisional arrest. According to initial findings, the 39-year-old is said to have hit the older man suddenly shortly after 8 p.m. on the street at number 16 and cut him. Both should know each other and had probably got into an argument before. The accused is said to have fled initially. However, he was provisionally arrested by police officers at the train station. The criminal police asked witnesses to the dispute to call 069 8098-1234.

1. What happened on New Year’s morning and who was there? – Nidderau / Windecken
(aa) The background to a tangible argument between two 28 and 29-year-old men who are probably friends is still unclear; In addition, the course of events and the number of people present have yet to be determined. The two men got into such an argument on New Year’s Day (Saturday, shortly after 2 a.m.) in Heldenberger Strasse, behind the Willi-Salzmann-Halle, that the 29-year-old suffered a deeper wound on his upper body in an unknown way. The alleged perpetrator fled; Police officers temporarily arrested him as part of the manhunt. While the Nidderauer came to a hospital for outpatient treatment, the suspect had to go to the station until the police measures were complete. The officers of the Hanau II investigation team are now asking for information and calls from witnesses on 061819010-0.
