VGC journalist Tom Henderson claims to have new details about the Call of Duty game due out in 2022. Henderson previously spread the rumor that that game Modern Warfare 2 is hot and is being developed by Infinity Ward. Now he also reveals new rumors about the campaign and multiplayer.
Henderson makes the disclosures via a video on his personal YouTube channel. According to him, Modern Warfare 2 is a direct sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot from 2019 and the campaign is set in Latin America. There you will take on, among other things, the local crime cartels.
According to him, the new game contains a mode that is very reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov. In it you compete against other players as well as against AI-controlled enemies. For that reason, the AI in Modern Warfare 2 would also be a lot better than in previous games. The map of the new mode could also come to Call of Duty: Warzone.
According to Henderson, the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer would originally come together with the Modern Warfare reboot. In the meantime, however, a lot of new Operators, maps and weapons from the original Modern Warfare 2 have been added.
It remains to be seen how much of the above info is correct, but Tom Henderson has often been right in the past. Last month, for example, he correctly predicted that there would be a new Splinter Cell is in development.
