Jalayne Sutherland (1) can’t read herself yet, but her parents were surprised with the letter they received from the British royal palace. They had previously sent a photo of their daughter to the Queen, showing the child “dressed up” as Queen. Welsh corgis, the Queen’s favorite dogs, included.

In the letter from the palace, the queen says she is happy with the photo of Jalayne ‘in her beautiful outfit’ and thanked them for their letter and the snapshot.
“Her Majesty was kind of you to write to her,” said one of her courtiers. They also shared some tidbits about the queen’s corgis. Over the years she has always had these dogs as pets and has loved them. She still has two corgis and a dorgi, a cross between a dachshund and a corgi.

Mother Katelyn already shared the photos in November and received a lot of compliments. “We wanted to do something that we could all do together. We are definitely fans of the royal family. As we walked around Halloween we kept getting compliments, but my favorite ones were the ones where people bowed to Jalayne or waved royally at her and addressed her as, ‘Your Majesty’.”
Jalayne herself enjoys the attention, her mom says.
