The Dutch overwhelm Meir at the start of the sales: “It is impossible here, this makes no sense” (Antwerp)

The start of the first day of sales caused (again) a tidal wave of Dutch people on the Antwerp Meir. Long queues stood in front of chains like Zara and Bershka. “This is really absurd, boy”, they sounded at the same time. In the meantime, the independent traders got off to a much quieter start a little further down the Wilde Zee and Kammenstraat. “Our customers prefer to wait until this surprise is over.” It was also very busy in the Wijnegem Shopping Center. In Mechelen it was remarkably quiet on the first day of sales and our reporter also found no surprise in Mol.
