Fifteen years after his death, Borgerhoff & Lamberigts publishes previously unpublished work by the Dutch writer Gerard Reve (1923-2006).

Very nice boy, letters to Jef R. bundles the letters that Reve wrote to the former TV producer Jef Rademakers, with whom he made seven television programs between 1986 and 1997.
‘Rademakers knew many big names in Dutch literature such as Louis Paul Boon and Gerard Walschap, but the friendship with Reve was special,’ says Sam De Graeve, publisher of literary and humor at Borgerhoff & Lamberigts.
The collection is about the collaboration between the two men, who, according to De Graeve, mainly found each other equal in their vision of religion. Besides faith, other themes such as eroticism, love and approaching death also play an important role.
The work came about after Rademakers addressed the widower of Reve with the request to make the letters, which until now had only been known to a small circle, public.
The bundle will be available from 16 February in Flanders and the Netherlands.
