Tondela received and beat, this Monday, Moreirense by 2-1, in a delayed match of the 13th round of the League, postponed in early December due to an outbreak of Covid-19 in the home team.
A month passed, but the Tondelians were still absent and only five substitutes were available (two young men among them). Moreirense, who also couldn’t count on the central Rosic due to a positive test for the coronavirus, started the match much better.
And it can be said that it was no surprise that Rafael Martins opened the scoring, in the 22nd minute, with a beautiful goal by Rafael Martins. In the first half, Walterson still shot at the post.
In the complementary stage, the Tondelenses outlined the reaction and would reach a draw, in a penalty converted by Daniel dos Anjos, but which took more than five minutes (!) to be confirmed by the referee Hugo Silva.
Rafael Barbosa also threw a ball to the canons’ goalpost, as if warning of what would happen on top of the final whistle. A free-kick into the area would allow the winning goal for Manu Hernando.
