Willem Frederik Laoh, Nindy Ellesse’s husband, revealed that his wife died after battling breast cancer which she had suffered since 2017.
“He has cancer and is in stage 4. Since then he has been struggling with the disease,” said Willem when met at the MRCCC Siloam Semanggi Funeral Home, South Jakarta, Monday (3/1).
Was declared clean after undergoing chemotherapy, the cancer reappeared and spread in the body Nindy.
“Well, it appears again in the lymph. Now, when it’s in the lymph, there’s more, right, so it goes to the lungs and all kinds of things,” said Willem.
Nevertheless, Nindy remained active as a musician and spiritually while battling his illness.
Nindy was again declared to have cancer in 2019 for the third time.
However, his condition began to decline in mid-December 2021. According to Williem, Nindy’s condition can no longer be treated by medical personnel.
“His medical condition can no longer behandle. So the doctor advised to return home,” Willem said.
Since that, Nindy as if knowing his time in this world was short.
“And he knows very well, the time is short. ‘I want me to leave the house, he doesn’t want to be in the hospital’. Because at home there are families who are always around him,” he said.
Nindy finally breathed his last on Sunday (2/1) at around 22.00 WIB. His body will be buried tomorrow, Tuesday (4/1) in San Diego Hills.
