– Sheep are sympathetic animals that are easy to like – maybe they can convey the message better than humans can.

That’s what Hanspeter Etzold says, who arranged the vaccine stunt.
The animals were set up in the formation of a vaccine syringe on a field near Schneverdingen, south of Hamburg. The entire spray formation was about 100 meters long.
Then just hope that the syringe tip does not break.

But how do you get 700 sheep and goats to line up like a giant sprayer?
Farmer Wiebke Schmidt-Kochan says she spent several days practicing with her animals.
But she says that in the end it was quite easy to get the sheep and goats in the right place – she put out pieces of bread to shape the syringe, something the animals swallowed eagerly when they were released into the field.
In Germany, just over 70 per cent of the population has been vaccinated, a few percentage points lower than here in Norway.
Whether the Germans who have not been convinced to take the corona vaccine can be convinced by these four-legged vaccine advocates remains to be seen.
