‘CDA is dripping from the pages’
Wopke Hoekstra was the first to visit this morning, who will also become deputy prime minister in addition to being Minister of Foreign Affairs. He also wants to lead the CDA, which seems like a complicated combination. “It means an extra degree of difficulty”, Hoekstra acknowledged afterwards. “But I think it can be combined in 2022.”
He thinks it is also possible to put a CDA stamp on the cabinet as Minister of Foreign Affairs. “This is pre-eminently our coalition agreement, the CDA is dripping from the pages, so to speak. Of course most of the challenges lie at home, but there is also a lot going on abroad.”
