Residents of RW 02 Cilangkap do fogging following three children with dengue fever

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Residents of RW 02 Cilangkap Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, do fumigation or smoke fogging following three children infected with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).

The secretary of RW 02 Cilangkap, Misran Arief, said: fogging carried out in collaboration with the Task Force Fogging Cipayung District Health Center, assisted by RT/RW administrators and TP PKK cadres and local dasawisma.

“Fogging was carried out following three of our residents who were affected by DHF. Hopefully this effort can suppress dengue cases, besides residents must also improve their clean and healthy lifestyle and become independent Jumantik,” said Misran Arief in Jakarta, Monday.

Arief added that the three children affected by dengue had been treated at the hospital and have now been declared cured.

He said the fumigation was carried out at a number of points, such as on Jl. Waru, Jl. Waru I, Waru II, Jl. Basuki, Jl. Giri Kencana and Jl. Cilangkap Raya. The targets are vacant land or yards, front yards of residents’ houses, waterways, the front area of ​​a number of places of business.

Arief also appreciated the ranks of the sub-district and sub-district health centers for moving quickly to handle dengue cases in their area.

Meanwhile, the Head of Cilangkap Village, Nasir Sugiar, said that fogging was carried out to deal with dengue cases in his area.

It was recorded that there were three locations where there were cases of DHF with a total of seven cases, namely in RT 05/01 as many as two cases, RT 06/03 there were two cases and RT 04/02 three cases. All of them were treated at the hospital and now they have returned to their respective homes.

“In order to avoid a spike in dengue cases, we urge residents to improve PHBS. Then make each one of them a larva monitoring interpreter in their own home. In this way, God willing, dengue cases can be suppressed as early as possible,” said Nasir.
