The Georgia MP is an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump, whose claims that the 2020 presidential election has been “stolen” she continues to repeat. Greene is also known for her stance against vaccinations and her statements about the pandemic, the seriousness of which she finds grossly exaggerated.
Personal account
Twitter said it’s about Greene’s personal account, @mtgreenee. She still has access to her official Twitter handle, @RepMTG. Greene used her personal account more often.
Greene said Twitter is “an enemy of America and cannot handle the truth.” “That’s fine. I’ll show America that we don’t need them and that it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

Previously suspended
Twitter did not specify what Greene had tweeted to merit the penalty. Her account was suspended for a week in August after she tweeted that the FDA should not approve any Covid-19 vaccines because they have not been shown to slow the spread of the virus.
On Saturday, she tweeted that vaccine-related deaths used to be taken seriously in the US, but today “an extremely high number of vaccine deaths are being ignored while government-imposed vaccination obligations are on the rise.”
A year ago, Twitter banned Trump from the platform after the attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters, allegedly instigated by Trump’s claims that he was robbed of victory over Joe Biden.
