It’s hard to believe how long they’ve been on the air! When the new episodes of “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” run on RTL2 on Monday, the 20th season of the (pseudo) documentary about the life of the extremely rich family who has long since moved their main residence to Monaco will start. But Carmen, Robert and their (almost) grown daughters Davina (18) and Shania (17) usually do not hold up there. And that’s no different in the eleventh year of Geiss on TV. Dubai, South Tyrol, Dominican Republic are on the agenda. The first double episode goes to the USA!
“The Geissens”: Finally the USA again
Even the very rich Geissens were not allowed to enter there for a long time because of the corona pandemic. Just in time for Black Friday, Robert, Carmen, Davina and Shania were allowed to cross the pond. The first port of call for the Geissens in the new double episode is New York. And there, of course, the first thing you do is go shopping in an outlet center outside of the city. The trip takes an hour to get hungry and forgotten credit cards create a bad mood until the extremely rich Geissens can finally spend money.

The next day, sight-seeing in autumn New York is the order of the day – including a ferry ride. Robert especially seems to like it. Not so much for daughters Davina and Shania.
“The Geissens”: Robert Geiss tries his hand at smoking weed
In the second part of the double episode, Robert Geiss buys a joint that he will later smoke during a carriage ride. He gives the famous Naked Cowboy in Times Square one of his Roberto Geissini shirts, strolls through galleries with his family and then lets his three women do their thing when they drive to a viewing platform to take selfies. Then it’s time to eat a hot dog.

The New York trip ends with a flight in a private jet to Miami, where it is significantly warmer than the city that never sleeps. Basically, a Geissens episode like the ones viewers have seen dozens of times.
“The Geissens”: This is what the new season of the Protz family offers
And what else does the new season offer? The station’s announcement said that Carmen and Robert will travel to Dubai – leaving Shania and Davina behind in Monaco. There the daughters cause a lot of chaos and even cause “an expensive accident”. What that means exactly remains a secret for the time being. In addition, the Geiss family will be leaving the cherished penthouse in Monaco after more than ten years – and they will even part ways. Because Shania and Davina will move into their own apartment. How far this will actually be from the parental home remains to be seen.
