With a timetable change, Deutsche Bahn is expanding its range of long-distance trains to the North Sea coast from Sunday. The trains used in the northwest should also gradually become more comfortable.

A new ICE connection is to connect Cologne with Bremerhaven every day from Sunday, as the company announced. Norddeich Mole (district of Ostfriesland) also receives an intercity connection to Frankfurt / Main, which no longer requires changing trains. The coast will be opened up for new regions, said the railway.

Bahn wants to use ICE with 900 seats

From Frankfurt Airport and Stuttgart there will be more and faster direct ICE connections to Bremen and Osnabrück in the future. On the route between Hamburg, Hanover, Göttingen and Bavaria, additional ICE trains are to be added to the offer on weekdays. In Göttingen there is also a new direct connection from Vienna via Passau. In the future, the railway wants to use more modern ICE with more than 900 seats.
