Omroep Zwart ‘with new heroes’ and Ongehoord Nederland ‘with voice for critics’ has started

On February 22, Ongehoord Nederland will start with the news and current affairs program Unheard of News. This program will be shown twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the afternoon between 12:00 and 13:00.

“We shed light on important social problems from a different perspective, such as the consequences of mass immigration on housing shortage and crime and the crumbling democratic influence of citizens due to the increasing power of the EU,” said Arnold Karskens, chairman of Ongehoord Nederland. “We also give critics of the blown climate policy a serious voice.”

Both Omroep Zwart and Ongehoord Nederland will also make podcasts for NPO Radio 1.

After five years

Last summer, both Omroep Zwart and Ongehoord Nederland reached the required number of 50,000 members. They were therefore given the status of aspiring broadcaster from outgoing minister Slob. This means that the broadcasters have received a broadcasting license for the next five years.

After five years, it will be reassessed whether the broadcasters still meet the criteria. If that is the case, then they become full-fledged broadcasters and then they can formally join the system. A collaboration with one or more broadcasters is then mandatory, because within the Dutch Public Broadcasting only six full broadcasting licenses can be issued by law.
