Saudi Arabia shows off the 2022 New Year celebrations in Riyadh.
Fireworks and a countdown to the New Year were held at one of the city’s recreational centers.
Residents who were present at the location said they were happy to be able to feel the euphoria of the new year which usually can only be seen abroad.
The celebration of the new year is a rare moment and only happened twice in the history of Saudi Arabia.
This is part of the social reforms carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia so that the country can be more open and not only viewed from a religious perspective.
