The best skier in the world from last season survived a beautiful 12 months, but it wasn’t always just happy …
Of course, the biggest joy of Vlhová and the whole of Slovakia was brought by the March profit of the big crystal globe. The winning seasons intertwined with races in which our ski gem was not always just among the top three. However, the big ball nevertheless traveled under the Tatras in March.

In Courchevel, she was fourth and fifth in the “giants”, but this week in Lienz she fixed the second place in the same competition and a sovereign slalom victory, which was also her 50th jubilee place on the “crate” in the World Cup.
“Every triumph is special and we all look forward to it every time. It is not a matter of course and I have to put in a lot of effort to be able to win at the moment. It’s nice to start and end the year victorious. This was unreal in terms of success. I hope that we will continue in this way next year, but it is important that we are especially healthy, “ Vlhová echoed after the race in Lienz for RTVS.
However, the best Slovak sportswoman looked at the past 12 calendar months from a different perspective.

“He was so up and down. In terms of achievements and results, so very successful. I’ve made a big change in my life, I have a new team. I think I’ve been a different Peter since mid-April or May, and I hope to continue to do so. “People can now see how difficult it is to win or fight for this trophy at all. It was our goal, we reached it. Nobody will take the big globe from me anymore. Winning it is often not seen, especially not in Slovakia, as I managed to be the first skier. But there are other results or victories that have value. ”
Vlhová is resting these days. He and his family will welcome the arrival of the new year as well as the Christmas holidays in the Italian city of San Candido. But gradually it will start preparing for next Tuesday, when it will attack a pure winning hat-trick in Zagreb, Croatia, as it has triumphed in this destination this year and last year. Don’t expect any New Year’s Eve celebrations today.
