Selular.ID – Not only the device, but it seems that the latest “brains” for gadgets will also color the technology market in 2022. Like Samsung, for example, the South Korean technology giant is rumored to be launching its newest Exynos processor, which is believed to be called the Exynos 2200. Quoted from the Gizmochina page, Saturday (1/1/2022), the new chipset is scheduled to be released on January 11, 2022.
The company has teased the latest generation of the Exynos chipset with the hashtag #PlaytimeIsOver indicating its performance. But unfortunately, the company has not revealed any explicit details about the processor.
But according to leaks circulating online, it is said that the company is reluctant to use a 4nm process like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but may have the same 5nm process as seen on the Exynos 2100.
This time around, it’s rumored that the upcoming Exynos 2200 will power the graphics from the AMD GPU RDNA2 seen on PCs and consoles. This indirectly hints that it will come with impressive features like ray-tracing and variable-level shading.
The Exynos 2200 is said to be an octa-core chipset with one Cortex-X2 CPU core, three Cortex-A710, and four Cortex-A510 CPU cores. It is also expected to have an upgraded 5G modem, better image signal processing, and improved AI processing.
It is evident that the Exynos 2200 will be on Samsung’s upcoming flagships such as the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in some markets. Other markets including India and China will get Galaxy S22 units powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
